SecuROM - Perfect Solution for Games

The standard SecuROM™ version provides security at its highest level:

• Allows for a customized level of crack protection
• Protects against virtual drive emulators
• Checks for the original disc every time the game is launched

SecuROM Business Edition - Maximum Convenience

Offering a new level of flexibility SecuROM™ is applicable to markets that have not previously benefited from copy control technology. Products like Business Software, Home Software, Learning Software, and Reference Database software all stand to benefit.

The SecuROM™ Business Edition provides the following features for maximum user convenience:

• Flexible disc checks allow the publisher to specify when and how often these disc authentication checks are made. In other words, the original disc does not have to be in the drive each and every time a protected application is launched.
• Consumers can use SecuROM™-protected software without Windows administrator rights. This is important in office environments (home users have administrator rights).
• Publishers can give consumers the flexibility to use virtual drives rather than requiring the physical disc to be in the drive.

Protection of Demos and Test Versions

Demo Mode

This newly developed technology is software-based and locks the application after a publisher- defined time. This solution neither requires a disc nor an Internet connection.

SecuCD-R

Sony DADC can supply you with customized CD-Rs. You can use SecuROM as usual to encrypt the application. After that, simply burn it on your SecuCD-R with a standard CD-R writer and hand it over to your tester.
