SecuROM Licensing for replicators
SecuROM was developed by Sony DADC, but it is available worldwide at all Sony plants as well as at other selected replication plants. For further details, see Worldwide Availability.
How to become a SecuROM Enabled Plant (SEP):
Sony DADC licenses SecuROM to replication plants that meet our high standards of quality and reliability. If you think you are eligible, please contact SecuROM-sales@SecuROM.com.
Procedure:
Once your plant has been certified and you have signed a contract, you'll need to purchase the necessary glass mastering equipment and pay a yearly service fee. Apart from that, there are no other charges or royalties. We only ask that you provide us with a monthly report on all your SecuROM productions. On the basis of this report, we'll charge the publishers a small SecuROM royalty fee based on the number of SecuROM discs produced each month.
Your advantages:
By becoming a SEP, you will be able to accept orders from all SecuROM customers. In other words, you'll be able to attract new customers as well as offer this copy protection technology to your existing clients.
